I don't really like to learn much unless it's interesting to me. I think science about the body and how it works is interesting. A second subject I think is itneresting is Spanish. It's fun learning a new language- although it's difficult and confusing sometimes.
Dealing with science, I think we should have a health class that is a full course. You would learn about the body, how to do CPR(and perfect it), and procedures on how to help someone that is choking. The goal would be to perfect the procedures(Heimlech) and CPR. It would benefit everyone- and ourselves- to know CPR because if a person is unconcious, then instead of people looking like dummies and don't know what to do, us students will know and can help save that person. The goal for the Heimlech- which is a procedure to help unchoke a person who is choking- is pretty much the same thing as I said for CPR. It would benefit us students by helping others and saving their lives.
I would also choose to learn different languages or have a variety of different languages to choose from we could learn: such as Chinese, French, or even Korean! I think learning different languages would be great and it will help you get a better job with higer pay.

Changing Rules at School
At school there are many rules that we have to follow. Such as not having drinks in classrooms, wearing only close-toed shoes, etc...
One rule that I would change is not having drinks in the classrooms to being able to have drinks in the classrooms again. Yes, it would probably spill all over the floor, but that's when you have cups with no lid or cans. Instead of having cups, I think we should be able to have bottled drinks. The only way that I know how I can change this is just simply asking the principal if we could have bottled water in the classroom. It would be better to just have drinks on our desks instead of asking the teacher to go and get water and disrupting the class.
Another rule i would change is only wearing close-toed shoes. Yes, wearing close-toed shoes is safe and our toes won't get hurt, but i think we should be able to wear any kind of shoes that we like as long as it's appropriate. I would like to change it because it would good to chage up shoes every once in a while instead of just wearing the same shoes everyday all year long.
there are many rules that don't need to be changed, but I wish that we can have drinks and food in the classrooms again and wear any kinds of shoes if they're appropriate.

Physical Education
iPads are being used for educational purposes but it also can be used for physical fitness purposes. There are many apps that you can find in the app store about fitness and health. A couple of them are:
Fitness Class, Fitness Free HD, and HK Now. Those are a couple of apps that you can use.
Fitness Class is an app that you can look at workout videos, that are 10-90mins long- depending on the exercise video. You can chose between 230 videos, but you need WiFi or 3G to watch them. You can use this app within Physical Education class by letting the athletes do this workout besides working out in the weight room all the time. You can get a projector screen and project the video onto there and follow the workout. It'll be great to change up things instead of doing the same things over again in gym class.
Fitness Free HD is another app that would be great to use within Physical Educational purposes. You can choose from many pictures, instead of videos, that give you instructions and do the workout from the picture you choose. You can also make up your own workout to share with the class. This is another great app that is great to use in gym class.
HK Now is another fitness app that will be great for gym class. This apps helps you stay up to date with the current news and trends of physical workouts. There are also categories that you can choose from. A couple of the categories are: strength, coaching, and also physical education. Another thing this app is great for, is for the coaches to give the athletes advices and it gives coaching tips- that way the coaches can get new ideas to do at practice.
So in the end there are many ways to use the iPad, not just for educational purposes, but Physical Education purposes as well. The iPad is great for everything.

Helping Kindergarteners!
For the past two days, at school, my computer class went to go and help the kindergarten class since they also have an Apple product (iPod) for school. We showed them what the app store looked like and how to download apps onto the iPod.
When my teacher said that the class was going to help the kindergarten class, I thought, "Yes, this is so much better than computer work!" So on the first day we went, the little kids had just woken up from their naps. I thought that they would be cranky and not listen, but they were great listeners! I didn't expect it to be so organized since little kids are busy bodies and you have to tell them repeatedly to sit down and be quiet. To my surprise, when my teacher said to the little ones to quiet down, they were quiet and listened; and I didn't expect that. Another thing that I didn't expect was for the kids to know how to unlock and lock the device. I thought we would have to show them a couple of times before they got the hang of it. Or that they would ask the same questions over and over again. After we finished downloading the apps that needed to be downloaded, the little kids got to play on the apps and get familiar with it. The second day we went, we did the same thing- helped them download apps- it was a lot smoother and easier than the first day since we (high school students) knew what to do.
Helping the little kids was fun! It was great to get out of the computer classroom and do something new! There were several things that helped me realized stuff about myself and those kids. Helping them made me realize that, those generation of kids are very quick learners when it comes to interacting with devices. And also that they are so smart than I ever was when I was that young... It's made me want kids even more because they are so precious and cute (until they grow up..). It also made me want to strive more towards my goal in what I want to be when I grow up -NICU Nurse. At the end of the day, I really enjoyed helping the little kids and would love to do it again.

New Ideas
There are several way to use the iPad in a classroom. One way is by using flashcards to help us study for tests or quizzes. Another way is by using the Notes app or getting another app that can take notes as well. Those are the basic ways of using the iPad in school. Some new ideas or way that we can use the iPad is by getting apps that will help us more in depth what the teacher wants us to know. Or get an app that we can interact with in- a subject such as math. That way if we don't understand it, we can use the app and it will help us understand it more. A third idea/way is that if a student misses a day in class, the teacher can e-mail us our assignments that we had missed. Also, us students can send messages/emails to each other if the students don't want to message the teacher. And if the teacher will lets us record them on video with our iPads, we can record them when they are giving their lecture- such as history or science.

iSucceed: Using iPads in School
In the beginning, the thought of having an iPad for school was a great idea for us students to learn differently than we have been every year. It would be a great way for us to keep up with our books if they were all on the iPad. That way we wouldn't forget our books at home and all we would have to carry is the iPad itself. And we wouldn't have to carry such heavy books that put a lot of pressure on our backs. Now that we have the iPads, not all the books for school are available on iBooks. So we still have to have textbooks for the books that aren't on the iPad; which isn't bad at all. I think that having books is a good thing. That way our minds won't be all into technology. iPads are a great way to learn educational things. For me, I would like to learn more about technology with the iPad. Teachers can help us by telling us apps that are helpful and more easier to learn. For example a subject such as: science. A 3D app in any type of science will help us learn more in depth about what we need to learn. iPads and (iPods) are also great for little kids to learn as well.
Here's a picture of students using their iPads.

Blogging
I have not blogged at all in my life. This will be my first time blogging. I don't think I will use it that much because I keep my thoughts to myself, but I think blogging will be a useful concept for students and teachers. For example, in case a student is absent and doesn't know what the assignment is, the teacher can blog about what the assignment was for that grade so the student can see what he or see missed. I plan on using the blogger for school. The blogger will help me, as I said in the last sentence, if I'm absent, I can see what I missed in that class. I can also help my other friends if they forget an assignment, I can remind them.
